It’s funny how there’s no shortage of ideas for repurposing household items. For example, wine bottles, milk crates, used detergent containers, and other items can be upcycled into functional pieces like customized plant pots and storage containers. Thanks to social media, you can easily find new ideas for items you might not think twice about throwing away. Let’s take plastic water bottles, for example. DIY enthusiast Sibia shared a TikTok illustrating how she turned an ordinary water bottle into a spiral suncatcher mobile.
She decked it out with fancy accents, including rhinestones, beads, and jump rings. This project is perfect for eco-friendly DIYers, and it’s an easy one that even a novice can take on. Simply cut the plastic water bottle into a long spiral, then use glue, string, or jump rings to add light-catching adornments. You can probably get it done in under two hours.
