Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is enjoying a stellar start at the Indian box office, becoming his biggest opener in the country and crossing roughly Rs 70 crore gross within its first weekend.

According to Sacnilk estimates, The Odyssey collected about Rs 17.40 crore net on Friday, followed by Rs 22 crore net on Saturday and Rs 21.90 crore net on Sunday.

This brings the film’s India net total to approximately Rs 61.30 crore, with gross collections around Rs 73.2 crore after just three days across more than 26,000 shows.

Did Day 3 collections hold steady? Sunday’s earnings saw only a minor dip of about 0.5% compared to Saturday’s numbers, which indicates strong word of mouth and good audience retention across the weekend.

With such a hold, the film has already surpassed the opening performance of Nolan’s previous hit, Oppenheimer in India.
