O’Connell, who has been married to Romijn since 2007, explained that his wife prefers a natural approach to her hygiene. Rather than a standard antiperspirant, she reaches for crystal deodorant, a mineral-salt product marketed as a chemical-free way to block odor.
Speaking on a Monday episode of the Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim podcast, O’Connell offered a public service announcement of sorts about the trendy product. “And I’m here to tell everyone, it doesn’t work. The crystals under the arms doesn’t work,” he said of his wife’s pick.
Then came the twist that turned a simple hygiene story into a viral talker. Far from being bothered by the result, the actor admitted he has grown oddly fond of it. “Now I don’t mind the way my wife, it doesn’t offend me. I actually, this is gonna get a little dirty, I kind of like it when I can smell my wife’s body odor,” he confessed.
